Description

Being Herd Consultation Workshop - Have Your Say!

When: Thursday, 23 April, 2-4pm
Where: Northallerton Library, 1 Thirsk Road, Northallerton, DL6 1PT
Free | You can drop in, but it helps us plan if you sign up

The Northallerton Heritage Hub is working towards securing funding for its future. To do this, we are hoping to establish a new project – Being Herd: Unearthing North Yorkshire’s Rural Heritage. This project will explore farming and rural heritage across the former Richmondshire area, helping to uncover and celebrate stories, skills and traditions that have shaped our rural communities.

Join the Heritage Hub team and Arran Johnson (Wessex Archaeology) for an informal consultation workshop upstairs in Northallerton Library from 2 to 4pm on Thursday, 23 April. We want to hear your thoughts: what activities would you most like to see? Which rural and heritage crafts do you feel are worth exploring? How can the project can best reflect local interests and experiences?

Feel free to just drop in, but it would help us to manage numbers if you sign up. Either email culture@northyorks.gov.uk or sign up here.
